According to a source at Mutt Films (the company who finances the Bluesmoke films), as well as plans for a fourth Bluesmoke film, there are also plans to produce a prequel rumoured to be called 'Bluesmoke - The Beginning'. The film is said to show the origins of Bluesmoke, the origins of all main characters and how they came to be in Bluesmoke. The film is also said to focus heavily on Sir Singen Smythe and his some of his pre-Bluesmoke exploits. It is unclear wether the usual cast will appear, or if younger look-alike actors will be cast. A source confirmed "A script is in development, though the film could take a few years to get made as the main focus is on the fourth film at the moment". Mutt films would neither confirm nor deny the rumour.
