Rumours are circulating that Bluesmoke 4 may be a musical or have some musical theme to it. The rumours started after Bluesmoke actor Pik was famously quoted as saying "I aint doing another damn Bluesmoke, unless it's a musical I aint doing it."

Producer Marcos Dinsdale commented "It's very unlikely that Bluesmoke 4 will be a musical, though it has been discussed about possibly having a song or two in it. Pik's quote was said during one of his famous drunken tantrums and should not be taken too seriously, he has also said in the past how he's wanted to do a Shakespearean Bluesmoke and a Wild West style Bluesmoke, but it's all just drunken talk. Soon he'll realise Bluesmoke is the only acting work he's ever gonna get, so he'd better take it."
