BUZZ AUSTIN -

Alcoholic Buzz Austin applied for Bluesmoke after losing most of his previous jobs because of his drink problem. Sir Singen Smythe saw some potential and recruited Austin. Rescued from a life on the streets, Austin initially showed great promise in Bluesmoke but soon slipped back into his hard drinking ways again and has since turned into a stubborn, trigger happy Neanderthal, whose main concern is where his next drink and fight will come from.

Always threatening to quit, but always knowing he can't afford to, his constant bust ups with fellow Bluesmoke member Jake Hart are often the cause for most of their blunders and failed missions. Austin is often used by the other Bluesmoke members - Jake Hart and Colt Speed as the muscle, whilst they try hard to provide the brains.

Austin takes great pleasure in fighting and will use any excuse to fire his gun at people with absolutely no regard for innocent bystanders. When once asked by reporter Ronald McDonald, about all the innocent victims Bluesmoke are the cause of Austin famously replied "Sometimes people just get in the way, and who's fault is that?, sure the hell aint ours".

Having worked undercover alone for many years, Sir Singen Smythe had to team Austin with Jake Hart and Colt Speed after Austin, due to his heavy drinking, reportedly kept getting confused as to who he was meant to be spying for.

In and out of Alcoholic Anonymous for many years, the rest of Bluesmoke have given up trying to cure Austin's drink problem, often now acting as babysitters to Austin. Although suspended from service many times, Sir Singen Smythe has never quite had the heart to ever totally get rid of him. Alcoholic and workaholic, Austin is happiest with a gun in one hand and a bottle in the other

Buzz Austin is also the singer in Bluesmoke's struggling band - FULL CRY, who wrote and recorded the title song for the Bluesmoke films - 'BLUESMOKE'.

The character Buzz Austin is portrayed convincingly, with a dose of occasional method acting by Pik.
