(ABOVE) 'THIS IS BLUESMOKE' was, and still is the only comprehensive soundtrack of the Bluesmoke films ever released. Available on CD and vinyl LP shortly before the release of 'BLUESMOKE 2000', it quickly disappeared from shelves after the record label - 'Minging Music' ran into financial difficulties. After ploughing most of their money into the budget for 'BLUESMOKE 2000' it soon became apparent 'Minging Music' could no longer afford to keep a music and  film venture afloat. Deciding films were the future, 'Minging Music' dropped all their acts and merged with 'Mutt Films' - the producers of Bluesmoke. The soundtrack album was doomed, released without a pre publicity or advertising campaign, it was in bargain bins nationwide within two weeks. Full Cry's minor hit 'Bluesmoke' and instore signings by Full Cry/Bluesmoke during the winter of 1999 could not save Minging Music's fortunes. Time has been kinder to what is now a sought after cult soundtrack. 'Mint' copies of the 12" vinyl album, of which only 15,000 were rumoured to have been pressed, are now said to be changing hands for up to £120.00 each.
